The HCD Group is an established supplier of independent Building Control approval in this specialist sector. We have consulted on a number of projects in recent years, working with several of the Prison Service Framework Contractors on projects that include more than 20 prison schemes, young offender, juvenile and immigration facilities.
The HCD Group is ideally positioned to advise on such schemes. We have worked with the Ministry of Justice on compliance processes and sat on the task group that reviewed the MoJ fire safety strategy. We also set up a Building Control technical forum with CPIG (Crown Premises Inspection Group) and we work closely with the Contractors Alliance and with other consultants advising on the statutory compliance of Building Regulations for Prisons and Immigration Centres.
We are regularly invited to comment at the White Paper stage on regulation change, especially in areas such as energy conservation and fire safety. As a result, the HCD Group is well placed to brief our clients and offer proactive solutions to the challenges of legislative change.
