The UK’s Building Regulations are viewed as one of the leading technical standards around the world and this has led to demands for HCD’s specialist expertise on an increasing number of high-profile overseas projects.

We have developed close relationships with many leading UK architects who regularly work for overseas clients who insist their projects are built to the highest international standards for quality and sustainability. Our role is to check designs for compliance against UK Standards. Where there are deviations – such as drainage or insulation – an agreed deviation statement is negotiated.

To date, we have been consulted for schemes in North Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia. In Nigeria, HCD Eng. Ltd has been appointed on eight schemes to date, the largest of which is valued at £25m.
