HCD Building Control have been at the forefront of providing support to design teams and contractors operating within the Ministry of Defence development programs; we have been involved in all areas including the Prime Contracts, special projects such as Project Inspire and also PFI developments such as Basil Hill in Corsham.
HCD Building Control has extensive knowledge of the Ministry of Defence’s approval process and their compliance system P102/10 which encompasses the implementation of Crown Fire Standards and the procedural requirements of Application for Determination and Application for Relaxation to the Regulations and Crown Fire Standards.
As the Ministry of Defence Crown Fire Standards and the guidance documents to the Building Regulations are mandatory requirements as opposed to guidance documents HCD have a huge expertise and a working knowledge of the process’s pertaining to approval under the Crown Fire Standards and the potential ‘Verification’ process of third party auditing.
HCD has built the level of expertise and knowledge of the Ministry of Defence systems with close liaison with Defence Estates and the Defence risk Management Organisation on schemes such as South West Prime Contract, Project Inspire, Project Pride, Basil Hill Redevelopment, Corsham, Larkhill Garrison Redevelopment, Project Emma Portsmouth, Woodbridge Barracks Development and numerous other commissions coving the whole of the UK.
